Keith Farrow
Over 35 years of experience

Keith has been working in the pest control industry since 1980. He is a qualified science teacher and has spent several years teaching pest management in both the NSW and Queensland TAFE systems.


Steve King
Over 19 years of experience

Steve commenced his pest management career in 1986 having worked for Rentokil, Flick and Fumapest before operating his own commercial pest control business for five years. He is a fully qualified Workplace Trainer.


Peter Brigden
Over 20 years of experience

Peter has been working in pest control since 1995 working initially for Dow Elanco, where he was involved in termite control, before moving to Amalagmated Pest Control. He is a fully qualified Workplace Trainer.

What does the course actually cover?

Our Basic Pest Management course covers three units from the Certificate III in Pest Management:

  • CPPPMT3005 – Manage pests without applying pesticides.
  • CPPPMT3006 – Manage pests by applying pesticides.
  • CPPPMT3018 – Maintain equipment and pesticide storage area in pest managememnt vehicles

These units have been divided into shorter, easy-to-manage online modules that you can do in your own time and at your own pace.

Modules:

Course assessment is divided into three parts:

  1. Module tests – to complete a module you will need to successfully pass a set of multiple choice test questions based on the course content.
  2. Portfolio assessment – you will also need to submit some practical work to demonstrate that you can put into practice the knowledge you gained in the modules.
  3. Practical assessment – our trainers will come to you and carry out a practical assessment of the skills you have gained.
